David Mathias Hearing Care Specialist

David Mathias

Professional Experience

David has worked for Miracle-Ear for 6 years.

About David

David is a very passionate and enthusiastic person that loves the ocean and his family. It’s no surprise that he found another passion: changing people's lives through better hearing. “Every day, I get to come in and know that I can be a part of the solution to help others with their hearing difficulties. I remember a patient that came in and the only form of communication he had was a writing tablet. When we were able to help him hear, the emotions took over all of us. I will never forget it.”
Carrie McHale Patient Care Coordinator

Carrie McHale

About Carrie

Carrie has been with Miracle-Ear for 2 years now. Prior to joining our team, she was a Dental Assistant for over 14 years and the transitioned to a Patient Coordinator for 4 years. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know people and seeing how happy patients are to hear again.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's essential that your device functions properly and allows you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

*Miracle-Ear® lifetime aftercare not included with hearing aids purchased utilizing some insurance benefits.

Hearing protection

At Miracle-Ear, we’re dedicated to helping you protect your hearing and the health of your ears. Our custom hearing protection solutions are tailored to specific activities and environments and custom made to the shape of your ears for maximum comfort. We offer custom hearing protection products for swimmers, hunters and music lovers.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.
