Background

Tamara hails from Alabama and moved to Clovis with her husband who is serving our country at Cannon AFB. She is the proud mother of two wonderful boys. Tamara and her husband are raising their sons to have the same sense of duty to the community and pride in work that she possesses. She has been in healthcare and is certified in several areas of the field. She is a trained and certified hearing instrument specialist who is skilled in applying the latest hearing technology to her patients.

Highlights

Tamara is an artist who works in several mediums. In addition to her visual work, she is also a published author. Her first novel hit presses in February 2023 and can be found on Amazon under the title ‘Retribution’ by Tamara Scaggs. She is working on the sequel ‘Red Retribution’.

Background

Wesley is the owner of the Miracle-Ear Franchise in Southeastern New Mexico. He began his hearing aid career in 1987 after leaving the US Army. He moved to Roswell, NM in 1991 to open the local Miracle-Ear Hearing Center.

Wesley has been a practicing Hearing Instrument Specialist for over 30 years. He is a New Mexico licensed, Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and is a member of the American Conference of Audioprosthology. He has served the community over the years including United Way Allocations Committee, Lions Club, Boys and Girls Club Board, Vice President Roswell JAYCEES, Roswell UFO Festival Committee Chair, New Mexico Speech, Language, Audiology and Hearing Aid Practices Board Chair

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.
