Professional History

Ben joined Miracle-Ear in 2007 and began his training as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Quickly recognizing a passion for patients and a talent for leadership, he began working toward business ownership, resulting in the acquisition of 4 locations in 2012. Ben has since steadily grown his Miracle-Ear business to 21 locations across Michigan.

Professional Experience

I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. I began with Miracle-Ear in May of 2021 prior to that I worked as a chief medical scribe.

Favorite Part of Working With Miracle-Ear

Being able to experience the world of hearing again vicariously through my patients. As well as building long-term relationships with my patients by earning their trust for their hearing needs.

Fun Facts About Me

I am originally from the East side of the state. However, fell in love with the West side of Michigan at the same time I fell in love with my wife. We recently got married and bought our first house together in Rockford. We then welcomed our first dog into the family. We like to travel all over Michigan to camp. I also enjoy all sporting activities, indoor & out.

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's essential that your device functions properly and allows you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

Our custom hearing protection solutions are tailored to specific activities and environments and custom made to the shape of your ears for maximum comfort. We offer custom hearing protection products for swimmers, hunters and music lovers.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.
