Not so long ago, Patsy Bell of Kerrville, TX, struggled with a gradually worsening hearing loss. Unable to follow conversations, she withdrew from interactions with family and friends. The severity of her hearing loss also prevented her from obtaining a job. Then she found Miracle-Ear.
Karla Muller, a licensed hearing aid professional at the Kerrville, TX Miracle-Ear center, determined that Patsy had a severe to profound hearing loss and recommended Miracle-Ear receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids. Unfortunately, given her very limited income, Patsy couldn’t afford the hearing aids.
With Karla’s encouragement and help, Patsy submitted an application to the Miracle-Ear Foundation and was approved for free hearing aids. The Kerrville Miracle-Ear location, owned by Pat Curry, donated all fitting and aftercare services.
“It’s affected my whole attitude about life,” she states. “I want to thank the Miracle-Ear Foundation for enabling me to get the hearing aids I needed.”
Virtually every area of Patsy’s life has benefited from her use of hearing aids. For starters, she’s reconnected with family and friends. “Conversations are much more enjoyable now,” she says. Patsy has experienced a big improvement in many other areas of her life, too, from watching TV and talking on the phone to participating in services at her church. In addition, she’s pursuing a new career opportunity with a nutrition products company.
