I joined Miracle-Ear in 2007 and began training as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. I quickly recognizing a passion for patients and a talent for leadership, so I began working toward business ownership, resulting in the acquisition of 4 locations in 2012. I have steadily grown my Miracle-Ear business to 21 locations across Michigan.

Professional Experience

My passion for this industry began at MSU while studying Communicative Science. I first joined Miracle-Ear in 2015 as a Hearing Care Provider. In 2018, I took a year away from Miracle-Ear to work with the hard of hearing youth with the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency. In 2019, I returned to M-E as the Director of Professional Development, which I still continue today. In 2022, I was blessed with the chance to join ownership & strive to provide the best care for all of our patients!

I graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Biology and Des Moines Medical University with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine & am a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. I practiced Internal Medicine for years before specializing in hearing. In 2023, I was honored as "Rookie of the Year".

While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's essential that your device functions properly and allows you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

*Miracle-Ear® lifetime aftercare not included with hearing aids purchased utilizing some insurance benefits.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.

If we find that you have a hearing loss and if we can help you we will recommend a hearing aid solution that works for your loss, your lifestyle, and your budget. If we find that you don't have a hearing loss then, great! We'll let you know that too! But since hearing can change over time we'll schedule you for another free exam in 1 year in order to help you stay on top of your health!
