Wesley Miller, BC-HIS, ACA

Professional Experience

Wesley began his career as a hearing aid specialist in El Paso, Texas in 1987 after completing service in the U.S. Army. Soon after his career began, he moved to San Antonio, TX to work with some of the top hearing instrument specialists in south-central Texas. In 1991 he relocated to Roswell, New Mexico to open Miracle-Ear Hearing Center in its current location.

Credentials

That year he also earned the important designation BC-HIS (Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist). This achievement represented his desire to excel beyond the normal requirements for operating a hearing instrument practice. The credential is earned by completing and passing a highly specialized National Competency Exam which is based on practical knowledge of hearing aid dispensing and decision-making capability.

Favorite Part Of Working With Miracle-Ear

Wesley maintains a license to fit and dispense hearing instruments in the states of Texas and New Mexico. He has always believed in the importance of giving back to the communities that have allowed him to become a successful practitioner. He continues to serve on various important civic committees offering his insight and judgment to important causes in West Texas and Southern New Mexico.

Professional Experience

For as long as people live there will be a need for high-quality health care providers. Each person in our society is unique, and their health requirements are vast and varied. I've known for the last decade that I needed to help people. I don't believe in coincidences, and I honestly think I walked into Miracle-Ear on that specific day five years ago because it was where I belonged. I now have the highest honor in providing the best hearing healthcare in Southeast New Mexico.

Credentials

By the age of 20, I found my calling in healthcare. Working in this field, especially geriatrics, fulfills my need to help people in our community.

Favorite Part Of Working With Miracle-Ear

Every person that comes into my office who laughs or cries and tells me they don't know why they waited so long to get help, validates my reason for being here. I feel so lucky that I found a profession where I can enrich people's lives, make lasting relationships, and be a part of such a loving work family. I appreciate every patient, family member and loved one who entrusts me... and Miracle-Ear with their hearing healthcare.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's extremely important to us that your device is functioning properly and allowing you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare, making sure to see each of our customers, on average, five times a year. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.
