Professional Experience

One of my most exciting hobbies started at a young age and remains my love--I audition stereo equipment where the music is reproduced to the highest degree of realistic sound reproduction as if it were at a live performance. Auditioning stereo equipment now helps me to apply and fine tune what I've learned to become an even better hearing specialist so my patients benefit from the programming I put into their hearing instruments.

Credentials

I have been practicing as a hearing specialist for over twenty years and I help both patients and enjoy teaching other hearing specialists. In the year 2000 after schooling and receiving my board certifications I became a Hearing Instrument Specialist. The most rewarding part of my job is the relationships I have with my patients.

Favorite Part of working with Miracle-Ear

I love my work as a hearing specialist as much as I enjoy my personal life. In my free time, I enjoy playing card games. In fact years ago I started a pinochle night once a month and my patients enjoy coming. When I am not with my patients, I enjoy a good book or movie, playing the piano, traveling to a foreign country and going on walks with my wife while playing fetch with our dogs Abby and Charlie.

About Angelica

I have been in the service field since 2013. My passion is being able to interact and work with people daily. I enjoy being able to be apart of such a life-changing experience that our patients go through to better hearing health. Aside from being a Patient Care Coordinator I am a mother of one beautiful girl, Sophia, who keeps me busy. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, cooking and meeting new people.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's essential that your device functions properly and allows you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

*Miracle-Ear® lifetime aftercare not included with hearing aids purchased utilizing some insurance benefits.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.
