Professional Experience

In 2012, I joined the Miracle-Ear family and began my career as a hearing healthcare professional. As member of the International Hearing Society and a Miracle-Ear nationally Certified Hearing Care Professional, I take great pride in having the knowledge, skills, and ability to customize solutions for each patient seeking to improve their hearing health.

Credentials

I have received multiple certifications in the areas of Health, Science, and Insurance. After graduating from school, my goal was to pursue a career where I would both enjoy my profession and have a positive impact on peoples' lives. There are few careers that offer that opportunity, and none were more fitting than the role of a Hearing Healthcare Professional.

Favorite Part of working with Miracle-Ear

I love to go to work every day and see how better hearing changes both the lives and well-being of my patients. It is truly satisfying when I see the expression on my patients' faces when they can hear again. I have a passion for helping others, and I thoroughly love what I do.

Professional Experience

I started working with Miracle-Ear in fall of 2018. I have enjoyed working in customer service for over 20 years now, and this is by far the best company that I have ever worked with! I’m a people person, who works hard at making sure that our patients are happy.

Credentials

I graduated from East Burke High School in Burke County. I have worked in management in several different fields for over 15 years now. Since starting with Miracle-Ear, I have passed all certifications required for my position as a Patient Care Coordinator.

Favorite Part of Working With Miracle-Ear

I enjoy the satisfaction that we can bring to our patients that have lost touch with their friends and family due to hearing loss. It’s sad to see someone struggle. Our patients are like family to me, and so I want nothing but the best care provided for them.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's extremely important to us that your device is functioning properly and allowing you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare, making sure to see each of our customers, on average, five times a year. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

Hearing protection

At Miracle-Ear, we’re dedicated to helping you protect your hearing and the health of your ears. Our custom hearing protection solutions are tailored to specific activities and environments and custom made to the shape of your ears for maximum comfort. We offer custom hearing protection products for swimmers, hunters and music lovers.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Find The Style That Match Your Needs

Our hearing aids are designed for people with mild to severe hearing loss. Most of them fit discreetly in the ear, but we also have Behind-The-Ear models for those people with sensitive ear canals. Many are available in different flesh tones.

Deciding to Have Your Hearing Checked

While it can be hard to accept that your hearing is fading, you definitely don't have to live with the results. With our help, you can once again interact with the world around you, but you need to take the first step and get an exam. Quite often, you'll see the social signs of hearing loss first, and you should schedule an appointment if you:
Are struggling to follow conversations that involve more than two people
Feel like the people around you are all mumbling
Have started avoiding restaurants and other crowded places
