About Cory

Born in Soldotna, Cory is a lifelong Alaskan serving the hearing needs of the Kenai Peninsula. In 2018, Cory saw a hearing care need in the community and knew that Miracle-Ear would make a difference in peoples' lives. “My favorite part of my job is that moment when a patient tries on a hearing aid for the fist time. They're overwhelmed with joy and relief once they realize they can communicate with their loved ones again. Seeing that, and being a part of the moment, is priceless.”

Why I Love Miracle-Ear

Years ago, Cory witnessed the traumatic side effects of a family member struggling with hearing loss. “Seeing a loved one pretend to be a part of a conversation at large family gatherings and eventually isolate herself really took a toll on the whole family. Ultimately that isolation led her to move out-of-state. Looking back now I'm able to recognize what went wrong. It inspires me to do everything I can to help prevent this from happening to someone else's family.”

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's essential that your device functions properly and allows you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

*Miracle-Ear® lifetime aftercare not included with hearing aids purchased utilizing some insurance benefits.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.
