Professional Experience

I joined Miracle-Ear 13 years ago as a result of the opportunity and success my brother Scott experienced with Miracle-Ear. It was his passion and commitment to helping others that got me excited about this adventure. He is a Miracle-Ear franchise owner operating in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. He encouraged me to become a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. I worked with him for 6 years until starting my own franchise in Central Minnesota.

Credentials

I now operate locations in Alexandria, St. Cloud, Willmar and service all of Central Minnesota. Being with a leader like Miracle-Ear is very exciting and I'm confident I made the right choice. My experience and skill combined with the Miracle-Ear's unrivaled technology allows me to help people with even the most profound hearing loss to hear clearly again.

Favorite Part of working with Miracle-Ear

Every time a patient thanks me for how well they hear, I am reassured that I made the right professional choice.

Lisa Lau

Professional Experience

My name is Lisa Lau, I grew up in southern Minnesota where I lived most of my life. I have lived in St. Cloud for several years now. I am happily married and the proud mom of her three children and love being a Grandma to my two grandchildren. I love to read, garden, enjoy just being outdoors, and spending time with my family.

Favorite Part

I enjoy working for Miracle-Ear as it gives me an opportunity to meet and work with many terrific people and help them improve their daily lives. It's wonderful when patients tell me how much they love their new hearing aids and share how their lives and the lives of those close to them are changed for the better. It's an honor and a privilege to be a small part of that.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's extremely important to us that your device is functioning properly and allowing you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare, making sure to see each of our customers, on average, five times a year. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.
