Edward had a hearing loss for many years. Even with his current hearing aids, Edward struggled communicating with his family and friends. He felt himself pulling away from activities he enjoyed the most, like watching a movie with his brother and hanging out with friends at a local coffee shop. Growing more isolated, Edward decided to reach out to Miracle-Ear in Shamokin Dam, PA .
Miracle-Ear Hearing Specialist Jackie tested Edward and confirmed the need for new hearing aids but quickly determined that the cost of hearing aids was out of his reach. Jackie suggested that he apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation. Edward was approved and fitted with donated hearing aids as well as life-time aftercare.
Edward felt himself pulling away from activities he enjoyed the most, but now he can do what he loves with ease.
Edward is thrilled with his new hearing aids. He is excited to be able to communicate with his family and friends. He can even follow along with the movie better. Edward is so grateful for the help Jackie and the Miracle-Ear Foundation has given him with the gift of sound.
