Autumn has struggled with hearing loss for most of her life. She wore hearing aids in school, but they have since stopped working. Autumn had difficulty communicating with her loved ones and feels she cannot participate in conversations because she feels people get upset with her for not understanding them. Her frustration led her to seek a hearing evaluation at Miracle-Ear in Somerset, PA.
With her new hearing aids, Autumn is able to enjoy all the sounds of life.
Amy, a Hearing Instrument Specialist, tested Autumn and confirmed her need for two hearing aids. However, she quickly determined that the cost of hearing aids was out of Autumn’s reach. Amy suggested that she apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation. Autumn was approved and fitted with donated hearing aids as well as life-time aftercare.
With her new hearing aids, Autumn has been able to enjoy all the sounds she has missed over the last few years. She loves being an active member of conversations with her family and friends. Autumn is extremely grateful for the help Amy and the Miracle-Ear Foundation has given her with the Gift of Sound.
