Ken's Miracle-Ear Foundation Story

Published on Aug, 10, 2021

Ken, someone who has struggled with hearing loss for many years, found it becoming increasingly diffifcult to communicate with his family and friends. He was getting frustrated and embarrassed when having to ask people to repeat themselves because of misunderstanding words. Ken no longer enjoyed his outdoor hobbies because he was missing all the sounds in the woods. Growing tired of missing out, Ken decided to reach out to Miracle-Ear for an evaluation in Williamsport, PA.

Miracle-Ear Hearing Specialist, Lesa, tested Ken and confirmed the need for hearing aids but quickly determined that the cost of hearing aids was out of his reach. Not wanting Ken to miss out any longer, Lesa suggested that he apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation. Ken was approved and given the Gift of Sound through donated hearing aids and life-time aftercare.

Ken and his HCP Lesa

Thanks to Lesa and the Miracle-Ear Foundation, Kenneth is excited to hear his favorite outdoor sounds again.

Ken is amazed at the improvement of his hearing. He is looking forward to enjoying all the sounds of nature and understanding phone conversations with his sone who lives in Virginia again. Ken also can't wait to share hunting and fishing stories with his buddies at the local hunting and fishing club again. Ken is incredibly grateful for the help Lesa and the Miracle-Ear Foundation has given him with the Gift of Sound.
