Marston (Marty) has struggled with hearing loss for several years. He has found it increasingly difficult to have simple conversations with friends and family, which often left him feeling alone and isolated. Marty constantly had to turn the volume up on the television and was having trouble understanding what was being said. This was when Marty decided to reach out to Miracle-Ear in Wellsboro, PA for an evaluation.
Marty was tested and confirmed to need hearing aids by Miracle-Ear Hearing Specialist Rik Foresman. Marty quickly learned that the cost of hearing aids was out of his reach. Rik suggested that he apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation. Marty was approved and fitted with donated hearing aids as well as life-time aftercare.
Marty used to constantly turn up the TV volume, but now he can hear the TV clearly at a normal level.
Marty is excited about life with his new hearing aids. He is looking forward to spending more time with his family and friends, now that he can communicate better. The TV volume is down, and he can understand what is being said. Marty is so grateful for the help Rik and the Miracle Ear Foundation has given him with the gift of sound.
