Matilda’s Miracle-Ear Foundation Story

Published on Jan, 07, 2021

Matilda, also known as Tilly, struggled with hearing loss for several years. Communicating with her family and friends was becoming more and more difficult. Tilly found herself asking everyone to repeat things said to her so she would not feel left out. Growing more frustrated, Tilly decided to reach out to Miracle-Ear in Butler, PA.

Miracle-Ear Hearing Specialist Marleen Hoffmann tested Tilly and confirmed the need for hearing aids, but they quickly determined that the cost of hearing aids was out of her reach. Marleen suggested that she apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation. Tilly was approved and fitted with donated hearing aids as well as life-time aftercare.

Tilly used to feel left out, but now she can hear her loved one’s laughter.

Tilly is thrilled with her new hearing aids. She is so excited to be able to hear her family and friends. Tilly is looking forward to hearing all the laughter from her family and keeping the TV volume down. Tilly is so grateful for the help Marleen and the Miracle Ear Foundation has given her with the gift of sound.
