A welcome message from our team

Miracle-Ear believes each customer should be able to realize the full potential of their passions, relationships and life, and we're proud to be with them every step of the way. What's most important to us is the relationships we're able to build with each customer. Take a look at how we do so.

Christopher Hicks, HAS, BC-HIS Franchise Owner and Hearing Aid Specialist

Christopher Hicks, HAS, BC-HIS

Licensed Dispenser and National Board Certified

Born and raised in Northwest Indiana, I attended Purdue University graduating in 1990 with a B.S. in Information Systems. I have two teenage daughters and have made Fort Walton Beach my home. In February of 2004, after 14 years of custom software design for clients in the steel industry in Chicago, I opted to join my father, Duane, in his Miracle-Ear franchise.
People have commented, "Well that is certainly a change of careers." Actually my two careers are quite similar. Hearing aids have become miniature micro-processors of sound. They are chock full of technology and features which enhance an individual's hearing abilities. We designed systems to exceed the requirements of the customer without adding unnecessary features. We did that by first listening to their concerns and desires.
At Miracle-Ear I start by asking questions about someone's hearing loss and their concerns. I conduct an evaluation to find the areas of deficiency. Then we talk about a lifestyle and technology based solution or solutions to help the individual. I invite you or a loved one to visit and discover what a difference Miracle-Ear can make in your life.

Why I Love Miracle Ear

It is my pleasure to serve you as an owner. I was born and raised in Tallahassee and have spent the majority of my life in the Panhandle. I love the southern charm and hospitality that is native to our area and enjoy fostering this attitude in the way we treat patients every day.
I feel blessed to still have my Mom in my life. My Mom has worn hearing aids for years and it wasn't until I became involved with Miracle-Ear that I began to understand the challenges she faces each day. Luckily technology has greatly advanced and she now enjoys life to the fullest whether it be sharing time with family or actively (I'm talking yelling) watching the Seminoles on TV.
I hope you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a free hearing evaluation and consultation to help you understand what is going on with your hearing and what solutions and options are available.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's essential that your device functions properly and allows you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

*Miracle-Ear® lifetime aftercare not included with hearing aids purchased utilizing some insurance benefits.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.
