Gene was getting frustrated that he could not interact with his family and friends easily. Communicating with everyone was becoming exceedingly difficult for him. Gene was always asking everyone to repeat everything to him. His television was a lot louder than it used to be and he was having trouble understanding what was being said. Miracle-Ear Hearing Specialist Kelly tested Gene and confirmed the need for hearing aids but quickly determined that the cost of hearing aids was out of his reach. Kelly suggested that he apply for assistance from the Miracle-Ear Foundation. Gene was approved and fitted with donated hearing aids as well as life-time aftercare.
