How our risk-free hearing aid trial* works

To take advantage of our risk-free hearing aid trial*, there are a few steps you need to take. Here’s how it works:

  • Complete a comprehensive hearing assessment. This is performed with the help of a hearing care professional (HCP) in a Miracle-Ear Hearing Aid Center. This will help determine the status of your hearing health and whether you’re experiencing hearing loss.
  • Review your hearing test results. These results will include an overview of the state of your hearing, plus the HCP’s suggested treatment plan and recommendations for hearing aid models that meet your needs.
  • Fit your hearing aids. Your HCP will fit your new hearing aids to sit comfortably in your ears, and program any personalized hearing aid settings needed to help you navigate various listening environments.
  • Purchase your hearing aids. To qualify for our risk-free trial*, you’re required to purchase the hearing aids.
  • Try out your hearing aids. During the trial period, be sure to test out your hearing aids in a variety of sound environments. Try going for a walk with a friend, watching TV at home, enjoying a meal at a restaurant and going for a drive in your car.
  • Meet with your HCP at the end of your trial. Once you’ve had a chance to try out your hearing aids in a variety of situations, you can meet with your HCP to discuss your experience. If you love them—great! You can keep them. If you aren’t satisfied or are curious about other options, you can bring them back for a full refund (minus a restocking fee)—or your HCP can adjust or replace your devices to better suit your needs, free of charge.

Consult with your HCP to learn more about the requirements and terms, as well as how to start your risk-free trial*. Note: some Miracle-Ear locations also offer a free demo period prior to purchase.** Ask your HCP if your store participates in this program.

How to get free hearing aids

Do you need hearing aids, but you’re concerned about the financial investment? There are a few options available for free hearing aids, including the Miracle-Ear Foundation, other hearing health foundations and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, for those who have served in the U.S. military. Keep in mind that to receive free hearing aids from these organizations, you will need to meet certain requirements.

Free hearing aids for low-income people and seniors

For those facing financial barriers, the Miracle-Ear Foundation offers access to hearing aids. The Foundation serves and supports children and adults with hearing loss through the Gift of Sound™ program, which provides hearing aids and support services at no cost to qualifying people across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Applications to receive the Gift of Sound™ are considered on an individual basis and eligibility requirements are designed to reach those who are most in need of these services. Learn more about these requirements here

One other organization that offers free or low-cost hearing aids is The Foundation for Sight and Sound. This organization provides hearing aids to qualified individuals with limited financial resources. For more resources and to locate local programs, review the Hearing Loss Association of America’s Financial Assistance Guide.

For more than 30 years, the Miracle-Ear Foundation has—with the help of Miracle-Ear customers like you—shared the Gift of Sound™ with people in need. Learn more.

Free hearing aids for veterans

If you are a veteran in need of hearing healthcare services, you may qualify for health benefits and coverage through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA provides several medical services, including no-cost, comprehensive hearing healthcare services. These services can include hearing tests, evaluations and hearing aids. Veterans may also be eligible for ongoing support and maintenance of VA hearing aids.

To receive these benefits, you may have to undergo certain hearing tests and provide documentation to determine the degree of your hearing needs. Speak with your local veterans benefit administrator to apply for benefits and hearing-related care services.
